Seller shall furnish with each shipment a data sheet(s) for each part.If parts are assembled into a higher level assembly by the seller, data sheets shall be furnished for each individual piece part in addition to required measurements of completed assembly. The data sheet(s) shall list actual dimensions/parameters vs. all drawing requirements and indicate the amount of any non-conformance noted. Exception-- When a MDMSC check fixture or inspection fixture is furnished or authorized, the seller data sheet may indicate the measurement(s) was accomplished and verified by the use of MDMSC furnished or authorized check fixture number XXX. All non-conformities shall be submitted to MDMSC and dispositioned prior to shipment of parts and/or assemblies. Data sheet(s) shall be traceable by a suitable method to parts and/or assemblies. Data sheet(s) shall be on white bond paper or card stock and shall be 8 1/2 X 11 inches in size. The format is optional. All data sheet(s)must be validated by seller's authorized Quality Representative. All parts and/or assemblies received without data sheet(s) will be rejected and returned to seller.

The frequency of these visits shall be predicated on factors such as hardware performance, in-process inspections, and data review. The frequency of these visits will vary from a minimum of six (6) weeks to a maximum of thirteen (13) weeks according to criteria set forth in the MDMSC supplier quality assurance manual. Hardware may be final acceptance tested and shipping documents signed during these visits if they are available. It is not required to have MDMSC quality assurance signature to ship hardware. MDMSC reserves the sole right to re-instate source inspection.

(k) If Seller is acquired by another company or corporation, unless a statement is issued in writing to the appropriate MDMSC Procurement Representative stating that all processing and methods of production of all castings for MDMSC or its subcontractors has not and will not be changed. (l) When the goods ordered hereunder are made with third party tooling. Notify procurement representative of the intent to perform dimensionallayout a minimum of ten (10) days in advance of the start of layout, so MDMSC MAY ELECT TO HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE PARTICIPATE AND VERIFY results at the seller's facility. The casting or forging used for layout purposes shall be retained by the seller unless authorized to ship by authorized procurement representative.

MDMSC Supplier Quality Assurance management may elect to have one or more representatives participate in the first article inspection/test and verify results at the Seller's facility.

Seller is required to use, for proposes of acceptance or rejection, inspection fixtures/gauges furnished or funded by MDMSC as a media of inspection. These include MDAC and Government furnished inspection fixtures/gauges when specified by the contract. Those characteristics of a part or assembly which are not verified by the use of a furnished inspection fixture/gauge shall be verified in accordance with the drawing/specification requirements by the Seller in a manner consistent with good inspection practice. The Seller shall be responsible for maintaining the acceptable condition of furnished inspection fixture/gauges to the extent that they are not changed/altered without contract authorization and are not damaged. In the event damage does occur, or for any other reason the inspectionfixture/gauge is considered unfit for its intended use, the Seller shall promptly notify the buyer for required action. MDMSC will notify the Seller when these inspection fixture/gauges are scheduled for return to MDMSC for reinspection and revalidation.

Seller shall submit with each lot, quantitative results of all tests required by the procurement specification and applicalbe part drawing.In addition, when part size or configuration prohibits conventional testing, the seller shall obtain coupons of the same material and heattreat lot. These coupons shall be prepared in such a manner as to facilitate testing requirements and yield acceptable test results. Test results obtained from coupons shall be submitted with each lot and shall be identifiable to the shipment. Sellers other than original manufacturers shall not rework, alter, or modify any manufactured item. Manufacturers performing rework shall, on completion, submit the item to required specification testing. The seller shall identify unit packages and their associated records. Such identification shall include the heat treat lot number and/or the inspection lot number. Exeptions - 1. Coupon testing will not be required for fatigue life, tension-tension fatigue requirements, mechanical property testing, except when specifically required by the applicable procurement specification. 2. Coupon testing does not apply to component type fasteners.

The Seller shall submit an inspection plan to the MDMSC Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Department. Seller's inspection plan shall present sufficient detail regarding Seller's procedures for the inspecting and testing of goods purchased hereunder and ancillary documentation to assure that all goods and services, whether manufactured, processed or procured by Seller, conform to the requirements of this contract. The plan shall contain, as a minium, the following information: A. Inspection and testing B. Work instructions C. Criteria for approval or rejection of the product D. Sampling procedures E. Inspection and test records including nature and number of observations made, the number and type of deficiencies found, the quality approved and rejected and corrective action implemented. F. Charts indicating the flow of fabrication and assembly operations including inspection and test points with a brief description of the inspections and tests. G. Other information considered pertinent as determined by the Seller or MDMSC. Seller's inspection plan shall be submitted to MDMSC at least fourteen (14) days prior to the date of the first shipment of goods. The plan will be reviewed by MDMSC and if disapproved, Seller shall not make any shipment of goods until the plan is resubmitted and approved by MDMSC.
