NOTE:  Caution must be exercise not to steel stamp items when                prohibited by drawing or specification.

MDMSC reserves the right to reinstate source    inspection.

This shall apply to all non-conforming material, parts and assemblies.  Shipment of non-conforming material, parts and       assemblies shall be withheld pending disposition of the SMRR by the   MDC material review board.  This requirement shall apply to all       suppliers except where MDC has delegated material review board        authority in writing.

Seller shall furnish with each shipment a data sheet(s) for each part.If parts are assembled into a higher level assembly by the seller,    data sheets shall be furnished for each individual piece part in      addition to required measurements of completed assembly.  The data    sheet(s) shall list actual dimensions/parameters vs. all drawing      requirements and indicate the amount of any non-conformance noted.    Exception-- When a MDMSC check fixture or inspection fixture is       furnished or authorized, the seller data sheet may indicate the       measurement(s) was accomplished and verified by the use of            MDMSC furnished or authorized check fixture number XXX.  All          non-conformities shall be submitted to MDMSC and dispositioned        prior to shipment of parts and/or assemblies.  Data sheet(s) shall    be traceable by a suitable method to parts and/or assemblies.  Data   sheet(s) shall be on white bond paper or card stock and shall be      8 1/2 X 11 inches in size.  The format is optional.  All data sheet(s)must be validated by seller's authorized Quality Representative.      All parts and/or assemblies received without data sheet(s) will be    rejected and returned to seller.

Articles not source inspected as required by this clause, shall not beshipped without specific written approval by MDMSC S.Q.A. through     the authorized purchasing representative.  MDMSC source inspection    does not relieve the seller of any responsibility and/or liability forfull compliance with all contract requirements.  Seller's shipping    documents shall contain evidence of MDMSC source or a copy of the     correspondence authorizing the shipment without such inspection.

A MDMSC quality assurance representative will make periodic visits    to your plant to assure that all quality requirements are met.  The   frequency of these visits shall be predicated on factors such as      hardware performance, in-process inspections, and data review.  The   frequency of these visits will vary from a minimum of six (6) weeks   to a maximum of thirteen (13) weeks according to criteria set forth   in the MDMSC supplier quality assurance manual.  Hardware may be      final acceptance tested and shipping documents signed during these    visits if they are available.  It is not required to have MDMSC       quality assurance signature to ship hardware.  MDMSC reserves the     sole right to re-instate source inspection.

(b)  When a new pattern or mold is made.                              (c)  When a new pattern or cavity in multiple tooling is made.        (d)  When a duplicate or replacement pattern or mold is made.         (e)  When any change is made in gates, risers, or chills.             (f)  When any change in the &quot;as cast&quot; shape is made.                  (g)  When strength requirements are changed.                          (h)  When another alloy or alloy modification is used.                (i)  When melting or processing techniques are changed.               (j)  When classification or grade is changed.                         (k)  If Seller is acquired by another company or corporation,              unless a statement is issued in writing to the appropriate            MDMSC Procurement Representative stating that all processing          and methods of production of all castings for MDMSC or its            subcontractors has not and will not be changed.                  (l)  When the goods ordered hereunder are made with third party            tooling.                                                    Notify procurement representative of the intent to perform dimensionallayout a minimum of ten (10) days in advance of the start of layout,  so MDMSC MAY ELECT TO HAVE A REPRESENTATIVE PARTICIPATE AND VERIFY    results at the seller's facility.  The casting or forging used for    layout purposes shall be retained by the seller unless authorized     to ship by authorized procurement representative.

The Seller    shall notify the MDMSC Supplier Quality Assurance organization of     the intent to perform the first article inspection/test at least      72 hours in advance of the start of the inspection/test.  MDMSC       Supplier Quality Assurance management may elect to have one or more   representatives participate in the first article inspection/test      and verify results at the Seller's facility.

Seller is required to use, for proposes of acceptance or rejection,   inspection fixtures/gauges furnished or funded by MDMSC as a          media of inspection.  These include MDAC and Government furnished     inspection fixtures/gauges when specified by the contract.  Those     characteristics of a part or assembly which are not verified by the   use of a furnished inspection fixture/gauge shall be verified in      accordance with the drawing/specification requirements by the Seller  in a manner consistent with good inspection practice.  The Seller     shall be responsible for maintaining the acceptable condition of      furnished inspection fixture/gauges to the extent that they are not   changed/altered without contract authorization and are not damaged.   In the event damage does occur, or for any other reason the inspectionfixture/gauge is considered unfit for its intended use, the Seller    shall promptly notify the buyer for required action.  MDMSC will      notify the Seller when these inspection fixture/gauges are scheduled  for return to MDMSC for reinspection and revalidation.

If material is MDC furnished, so indicate.      (B) All requirements, including specifications conformance, of            this contract have been complied with.                            (C) All processing identified in CQAR #5 has been performed               at MDC approved sources.                                          (D) Names and addresses of such processing sources.                Attach one (1) copy to the material involved, one (1) copy to the     shipping documents with each shipment, and forward one (1) copy to theMDC purchasing representative.  Performance of this contract will not be complete and final payment will not be made to seller until the    Certificates of Conformance have been signed by a company officer and are received by MDC.

If material furnished by MDA, so indicate.      (B)  All requirements, including specification conformance of              this contract have been complied with.                           (C)  Distributors and jobbers must, in addition to the above               certifiaction, include the manufacturer's name for each               item shipped.                                               Attach one (1) copy of the certification to the material involved     and one (1) copy to the shipping document(s) with each shipment.      Performance of this contract will not be complete and final payment   will not be made unless the required certifications of conformance    have been signed by a company officer and are received by MDA.

Seller shall submit with each lot, quantitative results of all tests  required by the procurement specification and applicalbe part drawing.In addition, when part size or configuration prohibits conventional   testing, the seller shall obtain coupons of the same material and heattreat lot.  These coupons shall be prepared in such a manner as to    facilitate testing requirements and yield acceptable test results.    Test results obtained from coupons shall be submitted with each lot   and shall be identifiable to the shipment.  Sellers other than        original manufacturers shall not rework, alter, or modify any         manufactured item.  Manufacturers performing rework shall, on         completion, submit the item to required specification testing.  The   seller shall identify unit packages and their associated records.     Such identification shall include the heat treat lot number and/or    the inspection lot number.                                            Exeptions -                                                             1.  Coupon testing will not be required for fatigue life,                 tension-tension fatigue requirements, mechanical property             testing, except when specifically required by the applicable          procurement specification.                                        2.  Coupon testing does not apply to component type fasteners.

The Seller shall submit an inspection plan to the MDMSC Supplier      Quality Assurance (SQA) Department.  Seller's inspection plan shall   present sufficient detail regarding Seller's procedures for the       inspecting and testing of goods purchased hereunder and ancillary     documentation to assure that all goods and services, whether          manufactured, processed or procured by Seller, conform to the         requirements of this contract.  The plan shall contain, as a          minium, the following information:                                        A.  Inspection and testing                                            B. Seller's inspection plan shall be submitted to MDMSC at least         fourteen (14) days prior to the date of the first shipment of goods.  The plan will be reviewed by MDMSC and if disapproved, Seller shall   not make any shipment of goods until the plan is resubmitted and      approved by MDMSC.

Sellers performing non-destructive testing on category 1 and          Category II parts in accordance with MDC Process Specification and/or MIL-Specifications for magnetic particles, penetrant, radiographic    and/or ultrasonic inspection shall prepare detailed written procedureswhich define the techniques used for each unique part number.         Procedures shall be in sufficient detail to allow adequate evaluation of the seller's methodology and shall include, as necessary, drawings,photographs, and other pertinent data.  Category II procedures shall  be retained at the facility and be available for review as required.  The procedures for Category I parts shall be submitted to the         appropriate purchasing representative, 30 days prior to the seller's  scheduled delivery, for MDMSC Quality Assurance approval.

Performance of this contract will not be        complete and final payment will not be made to Seller until all       test data sheet(s) have been received by MDMSC.

Seller further certifies that it has in its   possession a valid copy of its distributorship authorization or       franchise and documented evidence of the acceptability of the product.Repurchased or surplus material from any source is not acceptable for delivery under this purchase order.

The Seller shall implement and maintain a quality assurance program   to effect compliance with MDC corporate quality assurance regulation  (CQAR) NO. 8 quality program requirements and MIL-Q-9858 Quality      Program Requirements.  In the event of conflict, the Quality Program  Requirements as specified in MIL-Q-9858 shall take precedence except  for processing of nonconforming goods.  The Seller shall also         implement a program to effect compliance with MIL-STD-1520 corrective action and disposition system for nonconforming materials, MIL-STD-   1535 Supplier Quality Assurance Program Requirements, MIL-STD-1695    (Table I) minimum standards for working evironments and MIL-I-6870    inspection program requirements, non-destructive for aircraft and     missile parts and materials, as mutually agreed to between MDMSC      and Seller.

In the event of conflict, the  Quality          Program Requirements as specified in MIL-Q-9858A shall take           precedence except for processing of nonconforming supplies.           The Seller shall also effect compliance with MIL-STD-1535A, and       MIL-STD-1695 (table 1 only), and WS6536C, as approved for the         Cruise Missile program.

MIL-STD-1535, dated 01 Feb 74                                     3.  MIL-STD-1695 (Table I only), dated 13 Sep 77                      4.  WS6536C/JCMP, dated 26 Jul 74 (MOD. dated 01 Oct 82)              5.  MIL-STD-45662, dated 10 Jun 80, with notice dated                     05 Jan 83.                                                   All Seller quality assurance procedures necessary to implement        this program shall be kept current and available for review.
