Nadcap Accreditation
Implementation Plan Summary
The Boeing Company requires Nadcap accreditation as part of its processor control strategy.
- For companies located in the United States and Canada all heat treat sources and non-destructive test
sources were required to become accredited by Nadcap no later than August 31, 2003.
- For companies located in the United States and Canada all chemical processing sources listed
in D1-4426 must be Nadcap accredited by March 31, 2004.
- For companies located in the United States and Canada:
Beginning January 1, 2005, requires that
all brazing, welding, material testing, and shot peening sources become accredited at the time of their next
scheduled Boeing process audit and no later than January 31, 2006.
- For companies located outside of the United States and Canada:
Beginning July 1, 2005, requires that all heat treatment, non-destructive testing, chemical processing,
welding, brazing, shot peening and material testing (independent test laboratories only i.e. not captive laboratories)
sources become accredited at the time of their next scheduled Boeing process audit and no later than June 30, 2006.
- For companies located worldwide:
Beginning July 1, 2005, requires that all composites and metal bond sources become accredited at the time of the
next scheduled Boeing process audit and no later than June 30, 2006. This includes the following processes:
- Nonmetallic part fabrication
- Metal Bond part fabrication
- Anodizing and application of bonding primer for Metal Bond
- Processing of core into parts
- Ultrasonic and radiographic inspection of nonmetallic and Metal Bond parts
- For companies located worldwide:
Beginning April 1, 2014, requires that all nonmetallic material sources become accredited prior to the next scheduled Boeing process audit and no later than September 30, 2014.
This includes the following materials:
- Resins
- Adhesive Films and Surfacing Films
- Prepregs (reinforcement impregnated with resin)
